What We Do
GRCL, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, does not hold easements itself. Rather, it acts as an intermediary organization for conservation-minded landowners. Services offered by GRCL include:
- helping landowners assess their needs and future plans
- finding an appropriate land trust
- obtaining funding to pay for conservation easements
- completing legal and technical aspects of the transaction
GRCL also promotes public awareness about the ranching industry and encourages policies that support ranching in Gunnison through our outreach program Gunnison Valley Ranching.
